• daworking A couple of years ago I decided to ditch the intense & gory operating room where I would assist an eye doctor, for a chance at my dream of owning a flower shop.  With the support & encouragement of my amazing family, I  bought the Village Green Florist in 2012. I have never looked back.

My love for flowers started when I’d pick violets from Memere’s garden.  We’d Stand in the center of  all the blooms together where she would point out which flowers were good bug repellents, how to plant bulbs & when to dig them up for the following year & the best fertilizer for the most amazing flowers.  When she wasn’t trying to teach me something I’d watch her tend to her flowers, removing the dead flowers and swearing at the Japanese beetles.  When she was not paying attention I would cut as many fresh blooms as I could.  My basket would overflow with violets, which I would press in a dictionary and create little framed pieces of art.  Everyone in my family had at least two!  In my teens I worked at the very shop I now own (never planned, fate I suppose).  I worked as a clerk, helping customers put together wrapped bouquets & eventually learning how to design. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with talented floral designers here in Vermont, Rhode Island, Washington and Los Angeles.

I love wedding design, flowers spark feeling of happiness and love.  Taking the beauty inspired by nature and working closely with each client I create unique, beautiful arranged blooms, especially for you.  Each piece will be a reflection of you and our design aesthetic.

We use florals from our small family flower garden, forged products from Vermont (given the season) and working with reputable wholesalers to create your wedding and event pieces.
